Our treatments improve the joint movement so you stop hurting and start healing. But home exercises/stretching is essential to break the “pattern” that made you start hurting. Home exercises/stretches, that are unique to each patient, help us retrain muscle movement patterns to loosen what is tight or heal what is injured. Exercises train your brain to stabilize where stability is lost or move/sit/stand the way you were intended, so you stop the vicious cycle of causing your pain. If you will help us by doing what is recommended/prescribed, we will keep you better, longer!
Similar to going to a dentist for a “cleaning” and then brushing your teeth everyday, our office visits help get you back on track and your “homework” keeps you on track.
